Electrical Associate Principal/Team Lead - Western Canada

Key Responsibilities
Lead the current electrical team in design, analysis, and consultancy on projects from concept through construction, including the production and management of deliverables such as drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
Oversee contract documents, technical reviews, shop drawings, contractor coordination, and complete site visits as required
Ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards (CEC, ASHRAE, LEED, and the BC Building Code)
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, consultants, and clients to deliver integrated engineering solutions
Lead client and stakeholder meetings, presenting technical recommendations and project updates
Support business development through proposal development and client relationship management
Mentor and oversee junior and intermediate staff
Contribute to team growth, hiring, and process improvements as the national electrical team expands
Availability for on-site visits as required, generally once every two weeks
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
Registered as a P.Eng. with Engineers and Geoscientists British Columbia (EGBC)
10 + years of electrical design experience in building systems
Strong technical expertise in power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and emergency power systems
Working knowledge of applicable codes and standards, including CEC, BC Building Code (BCBC), and relevant CSA standards (LEED experience considered an asset)
Proven leadership, project management, and client-facing experience
Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD required
Experience with high-voltage systems or large-scale, complex projects is considered an asset
