Biggin hill hotel

Construction is progressing well on The Landing, a new 4-star boutique hotel at London Biggin Hill Airport, marking a key milestone in the airport’s ongoing development.

The general manager and members of the construction team recently visited the site to review progress on the 56-bedroom hotel, which is currently under construction by Barnes Construction and is scheduled for completion at the end of 2022.

Once complete, The Landing will feature a fitness suite, along with a lounge, bar, and restaurant located on the first floor, offering panoramic views over the runway. The hotel is primarily designed to serve flight crews, engineers, and staff from the many aerospace businesses based at the airport.

The project is being managed by Russell Doughty and designed by Powell Dobson Architects, with Zenon Group (before Superstructures) providing structural engineering expertise. Due to its unique location at the end of the runway, the building incorporates specific acoustic design requirements to ensure comfort and performance.
