Zenon Group Appointed BC’s First UL Listed ITC Organization
The Zenon Group (previously CES Group) Becomes British Columbia’s First UL Listed Integrated Testing Coordinator Firm
Congratulations to Kyle Bigourdin, Zenon Group's (previously CES Group) Director for Western Canada, in his tremendous achievement in becoming an Underwriters Laboratory (UL) Qualified Integrated Testing Coordinator and earning CES Group the distinction of being British Columbia’s first an only UL Listed Integrated Testing Service Provider firm as of April 30th, 2024.
The Underwriters Laboratory of Canada (ULC) Integrated Systems Testing Program is intended to assist AHJs and building owners in confirming that organizations and individuals designated as Integrated Systems Testing Service Providers have the technical knowledge, practical skills and expertise to conduct the testing process, requirements and documentation as required by the standard CAN/ULC-S1001.
This designation recognizes Kyle and the team at the Zenon Group as experts in this complex and challenging area of practice. As a UL Listed Integrated Systems Testing Service Provider that has been assessed and qualified under this ULC program, CES is permitted to issue ULC Certificates of Compliance verifying that the integrated fire protection and life safety systems in a building have been successfully tested in accordance with CAN/ULC-S1001.
Integrated testing of fire protection and life safety systems in line with the CAN/ULC-S1001 Standard has been referenced in the National Building Code of Canada since 2015 and has now been adopted as a requirement by many provincial and municipal Building Codes across Canada.
